Breaking Branches and Building Teams

Not long after the Playwright had set her mind on improving the Theatre's organisation, she realized that splitting the Theatre into three branches (Organization, Intelligence, and Assassins) simply did not work. The number of so-called active agents (agents who were neither on long-term infiltration missions nor incapable of working due to an injury or other valid reason) was indisputably too low for the branches to function. Each branch had less than a handful of people, and the overseers were lacking agents to give tasks to as only in exceptional cases were they allowed to give orders to agents who were not in their branch. Simultaneously, several agents were proving themselves capable of doing more than one branch's work.

Thus, miss Boozeboat summoned Director Sanderson and the Master Assassin and proposed to them that the branches were removed. The two were very easily convinced; they must've contemplated it as well. The only issue, although not a minor one, was this: How does the organisation work, then?

Teams.

Teams would give each agent an opportunity to build their own job descriptions. Simply pick the teams that match your skills and interests. That way the agents would have every reason to be motivated, and the Theatre gets the best results. Additionally, aiming for the team leader title would give them a chance to truly show their prowess and induce some healthy competition amongst the agents. The most exciting thing is that any agent, Apprentice or higher, would have the chance to become a team leader. After all, each team needs a leader and the overseers only have time to lead a handful of them.

Now, the Theatre is about to find out if the new organisational dynamics are functional, as they are faced with a challenge unlike anything that they have seen before.
